The Radeon RX 9070 XT, one of the new RDNA 4 graphics cards that AMD says can deliver up to 40% higher gaming performance on average when gaming at 1440p versus the previous-generation Radeon RX 7900 GRE, will be readily available when the GPU launches tomorrow for $599—so much so that one could build multiple Borg Cubes out of the boxes that are currently sitting at warehouses—according to the latest posts from retailers that include Overclockers UK.

Day 1 on MC is the best option to buy this card

It won't come back to MSRP for a long time again (months)

You can find PLENTIFUL numbers at 599.99 for the XT's at MC right now. WTF do you mean it won't come back to MSRP that IS MSRP.

Oh you mean scalperific online shoppes? Sure.

AMD is giving a discount voucher for launch. Once launch stocks are sold out there is no guarantee of the same MSRP. It could go up (or come down too when nv stocks are widely available)

I haven't seen any news about that, do you have a link... OFF TO GOOGLE!

Google finds absolutely nothing. I think you've been misled.

Also MLID & HUB have mentioned this in their videos

Yeah, sad but true as it seems like MSRP is becoming a 1st week only option for both sides of the fence. We'll see if it remains that way and continues to grow but there has been a pattern lately. Though, I wouldn't call it written in stone, yet.

It will stay at msrp or near. Nice card, better than the 5070, and near 5070ti, so both those cards will determine the price. As nvidia irons out and recalibrates so will AMD partners, with no reference cards, its all up to those partners, and they will want to move product. No doubt they will try to raise prices, but I will bet they will also drop fairly quickly too, it will balance out.

800€ - 929€ for a 9070 and 900€ - 1.179€€ for the 9070XT's I'll pass for now

That's a bummer on both front. Sorry for you and everyone else overseas.

Response from AMD

AMD says the $549 RX 9070 is real but doesn’t deny reports of possible bait and switch

‘It is inaccurate that $549/$599 MSRP is launch-only pricing,’ AMD tells The Verge.

We asked AMD:
  • Can you confirm or deny that the best prices on the best-priced cards are capped in this way?
  • Can you confirm or deny that only a fraction of the best-priced models of 9070 and 9070 XT will be sold at their announced MSRP?
  • Can you confirm or deny that AMD has okayed any board partners or retailers whatsoever to raise their prices beyond MSRP after selling through a certain quantity or certain number of shipments?
AMD would not confirm or deny. It did address the larger question of MSRP availability with this statement from chief gaming solutions architect (and gaming marketing boss) Frank Azor, though:

On X, Azor tweeted that AMD is working to replenish stock “in the coming days and weeks,” adding, “MSRP pricing (excluding region specific tariffs and/or taxes) will continue to be encouraged beyond today so don’t despair.”

Looks like my local Microcenter sold out of the 9070 XT's. There were hundreds of them in stock yesterday. I'm not upset, that's a good thing that hundreds of people were able to get the card they wanted.

Surprisingly I see 7900 XTX's in stock, and still a lot of the regular 9070's at MSRP.

Now the question is how long until stock is replenished?

So, do we have a price, or more like a value war in our hands? Maybe we will see the widespread belief that 'NVIDIA can lower prices anytime' put to the test?

They would have to have supply for that to work.

I’m kind of amazed that the 9070s have sold out with that much stock. I thought most people (like 80% +) were NVIDIA only. Is there really that much demand?
