Intel's Arc B580 could be upgraded by one of its board partners, as rumors about a dual-GPU with twice as much memory are circulating. There is also a tiny bit of confusion regarding whether this model will feature either 24 GB or possibly a monstrous 48 GB of video memory.

BTW what happened with all those multigpus (a la Ryzen) from AMD people were talking about years ago. It's been several generations since then.

Intel can't afford it - even when their performance delivers, their efficiency in die area and wattage is off the hook

But they can trade marketshare for margins, and the consumer wins in that trade too!*

*(sort of; performance on Arc is still wonky and widely variable)



Also, this kind of card would appeal to creators supposing the drivers are stable and compatible.
