Ultimate Steampunk build

Yep, I was blown away seeing it in action. That thing really is a work of art in its own way.

You know I always wanted to build a system with copper pipes. Not necessarily a "steam punk" look, but just the copper pipes idea.

After seeing all the trouble he went through on trying to get it designed and setup I think I'm going to pass on it. At least for now, but man it does look good with those solid copper pipes.

Admittedly, me as well.

I did have a very early setup that was mostly copper, but as I was still learning to braze and it was a “sourced from Home Depot” setup, it wasn’t anything to brag about other than it worked. Even built my own water blocks - and broke my share of hardware figuring it out

This one looks phenomenal.

You build your own water block? Wow. Did you document any of that? I'd like to see that thread!

Oh man this was decades ago, on AMD celerons. It was basically a brass hex fitting (the flats were big enough to fit on the die) with 1/4” nipples coming out the side, with something Jerry rigged to strap it to the board

I probably broke 3 CPUs getting it to work, but once I did it cooled like a rock star. Pencil tricked and it ran for years
