AMD didn't hold back any punches in responding to a question regarding the chip manufacturer's stance on reported AM5 socket failures.

Seems reasonable given what we know of the issues that have presented themselves.
 
I've heard of ASUS and MSI having had the same issue, but issued BIOS updates quickly.
 
Yea all around it's pretty clear that this was a bad BIOS set from vendors trying for a performance win.

I'm still waiting for an official word, or at least an "yep it's fixed, don't worry about that problem anymore" statement. We're kind of left hanging IMO.
