AI-Created Character Tilly Norwood Is Under Fire from SAG-AFTRA for Adding to the Problem of Putting Actors out of Work

Well.. It will be exactly like that sketch where an ' organic' movie is 1000$ a ticket.
 
There have been animated movies for what? 100 years orso without costing actors their job, this will blow over as well.
 
Maybe if you know the actors and actresses united with freaking call center workers, writers, artists, and other creatives the jobs and roles of these people could be preserved or even enhanced via the use of AI. But many companies are looking to use AI to bulk replace low level jobs that don't need creatives or experience to draw from.
 
AI will never complain about late shoots, it always shows up, it can get in shape or gain weight instantly, it only has an electricity bill. I think celebrity actors with million dollar salaries are cooked.

It also doesn't help that there are no new big names. Can you name someone under 40 who would make you interested in a movie just by being in it? Because I can't.

It wont blow over though.
Cartoons is not really a proper comparison.
Computers have been effectively displacing large parts of movie making since the early 90s with no turning back. Actors will be displaced, to what extent, who knows, my guess in time to a very large extent. Extras are gone most likely already.
 
So it's fine to use all kinds of CG effects and stage background (putting those folks out of work) even editing......but don't you dare try to replace those uber talented actors.....please.....
