EXODUS, a New Sci-Fi RPG from Ex-BioWare, 343, Electronic Arts, and Naughty Dog Developers, Gets New Screenshots and Development Updates

Damnit man! Now I need more of this... It scratches all my Sci-Fi Gaming itches other than sexy aliens.
 
This is not based on the Peter F Hamilton book, the book was commissioned by the developers, and it's set in the Exodus universe.
 
I'm not sure about this one. Instead of reminding me of the best of Mass Effect / bioware it gives me outer worlds and andromeda vibes.

I'm on wait and see approach about this, not writing it down completely but also not getting excited yet.
 
Between this and the Owlcat The Expanse space ARPG I hope any mass effect fans will be eating well in the near future.

The games really just need to not suck though, that's a big one.
 
I don't know anything about the Exodus books. But I was just reading the prologue and I like the writing so far. Reminds me a bit of some of the forgotten realms I've read in the past.

Hopefully with the talent they have, they can make UE5 a good experience.

That's kind of my feeling as well. I am also not a fan of the Temu style Mass Effect armor that the characters wear. We'll see how this plays out eventually I guess.

Yeah that's the ticket to printing money. I'm tired of the cycle of mediocre and bad games that games journalists pretend are the best ever.

That's a dichotomy. Unreal Engine is the bane of the gaming industry, an enemy of true progress and optimization.

I'm more worried about it being woke above all else. The character designs don't instill confidence. The time skipping aspect can also become annoying depending on how it is implemented.
