Microsoft Removes the Ability to Install Windows 11 via a Local Account; Online Accounts Are Now Required to Complete Setup

that is just the metadata folder of PMS. I have around 95TB of content space with maybe 15TB free. Drives are too expensive now :(

I know everyone is different.... but 95TB of media? Are you doing zero compression 4KUHD rips or something?

I have a jillion movies, shows, and music and I'm like maybe 10TB
not as much 4k content actually, only around 350 movies. Been on plex since 2014.
I also spent over C$30K on physical media content.
bought a 10k sound system in the late 90s and had a projection setup in the mid 2000s. 1080P projection in 2008.

I know it's a little late... but Good lord... you need some raid arrays to protect your data.
BackBlaze doesn't like me much. Also the internet is my backup. I do keep backup of the list of files. I use Everything to index and export.

I do keep adding drives and retiring older ones.

No it isn't but having multipe locations to store and having a good raid 5 sure does help prevent data loss.

drives are so big these days I am not sure a rebuild is worth it. couple it with real chance of second drive failing while rebuilding, Raid 5 is not really viable.

Microsoft is disgusting. People pay money for this operating system (often indirectly through OEMs). In return Microsoft treats them worse than cattle. Milked dry for all their worth with adverts and services aggressively bundled at every step.

And for what? The only thing it does better than MacOS is game. Which is enough to keep people captive (well, that's why I still have it installed on my gaming PC).
