35% off @ $259.99 Intel Core Ultra 7 Desktop Processor 265K - 20 cores (8 P-cores + 12 E-cores) up to 5.5 GHz

4 tb drive to 2 tb. Also my system was running all of the normal bs I run. All of the steams epics origins and so on.

So 4tb drives are slower in 4k than 2tb?

My 2tb drive was also running windows and all the BS I run. So chipset issue or something else?

Not sure. Its strange but not a worry when literally every other metric on your system is slower by several hundred mb as second. I wonder if that's a cpu design or chipset failure. Or maybe it's the rated specs of 2tb to 4tb?

Honestly performance is about the multithreaded random real world feel life. The counter is if your chipset is faster single threaded why is it slower with more threads?

Well it's not a CPU/Chipset issue because I just tested 2 1TB Gen 4 Drives in my 285K Z890 System. The KC3000 Drive is nearly as fast in multithreaded writes as your 4TB Gen 5 drive.....

The WD Drive is not doing very well.

The 245KF deal is crazy good and especially if you have a DDR5-8200 kit lying unused as it seems to really love that. Here's my 245KF@XMP 8200C38 beating TPU's stock 14900K y-cruncher score: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/arrow-lake-builders-thread.2622775/post-41388470
Thats a deal and I would be tempted it i had an intel board for it to go in.

Yea after seeing gamers nexus investigation into newegg open box... no thanks. Plus I'm happy with my setup. :)

Spent some time looking stuff last night and while almost this entire CPU lineup is on sale for decent prices, the ram and storage prices are mostly horrible. Found a few exceptions but even then it wasn't great.

Still wondering if I should pull the trigger on $239.99 24 TB external Seagate drive from Bestbuy.

Given that they don't seem to sell and a refresh is comming soonish, they may want to get rid of them while they are still worth something.
There's some drops on the X3D stuff, not huge but it's there from 9800X3D to 9950X3D, usually between $50-$75 off and there's some okay motherboard bundles happening too (I put a couple in the early black Friday post a few days ago). Also came across a decent prebuilt from Newegg with a 9800X3D that I dropped a link for in that thread yesterday.

Amazon U.S. must have decided arrow is not selling well enough to be worth procuring anymore. Not in stock shipped and sold by, and the SKUs sales positions are sad trombone noises. Alder is easily outselling arrow, but still can't crack top 10. Arrow is doing much better at Newegg with the 265K in the 4 spot, along with 2 LGA 1700 in the top 10.

Meanwhile the 9800X3D continues to be the top seller on both sites despite the high ASP. I wonder if many of the 3D sales are holiday upgraders? Bad time to build with storage and ram pricing.

Every year I keep saying how BF for tech gets worse. It's still a good time for appliance upgrades, saved thousands last year on a new stove and dishwasher but tech, it just keeps getting more desolate. I honestly though it'd be a good year for 4K discs and most of what's on sale is stuff I already have and then the things I want either are not on sale or the discounts are a slap in the face given the insane MSRP they start at. So far the only thing I ordered was a 3 phone magsafe charger for our phones.

The "refresh" is not much of a refresh, some new models that are barely different than what is currently available.

290K = 100mhz more turbo speeds

265K gets 4 more e cores so it's basically what a 285K is today

250K gets 100mhz increase in clocks and 4 more e cores,

Official DDR5 7200 ram support, but can't see how that is even important when all 3 AL systems I have can run 7200, and much higher ram without any issue.

The Refresh will not be priced this low, so i don't see how a refresh coming soon diminishes how good of a deal this is.

Because RAM has skyrocketed in price, so it's no longer a good deal to build a new system.
