  2. MachineGames Aims for 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Early Review Hints at Authentic Gameplay Experience

Microsoft's lower-end console has been criticized and cited for hindering developers' efforts in bringing games to Xbox, but as MachineGames aims for a more traditional framerate, perhaps there's still hope for the Series S. VGC had the opportunity to play an early demo of Indiana Jones and the...
  3. “A Bit Rude”: Intel Had to Pay 40% More to TSMC for Printing New Chips After CEO Insulted Taiwan

Yep, if this is true, I'm pretty sure that PG could ricochet a bullet off a building from a hundred yards out for a bullseye on one of his toes. I keep hoping that Intel is going to bounce back but I'm starting to think there may be other changes needed to make that happen.
  4. Active Matter Is a Realistic Tactical Shooter Set in a Fractured Multiverse Where Players Are Trapped in a Time Loop

Well, if executed properly, this could be fun. It's not my style, as I think most know I'm into first-person/single-player stuff, but every now and then, a team manages the right mix for a genre. Take Hunt Showdown, for instance. If I'd only seen a description for it, I probably wouldn't have...
  5. Turtle Beach Introduces Stealth Pivot Controller for PC and Xbox with First-of-Their-Kind Rotating Thumbstick and Button Modules

Yep, exactly, and the one I saw was an Xbox/PC COD-themed one about a week or so ago. Like said, there's a design floating around now.

  7. Turtle Beach Introduces Stealth Pivot Controller for PC and Xbox with First-of-Their-Kind Rotating Thumbstick and Button Modules

Yeah, I think there's some kind of new design similar to the switch's joycons that's floating around now because I saw a similar product about a week ago but instead of rotating modules you could remove and swap out similar components for customization. I don't know but it seems like this stuff...
  8. Mass Effect 5 Will Maintain the “Mature Tone” of the Original Trilogy and Feature Photorealistic Visuals, Project Director at BioWare Says

Graphics are somewhat of a priority for me but if the writing is crap it doesn't matter. I think we're at a point where most AAA studios have the resources for both but it comes down to the decision-making from the top. We can all note on who has left over the years but it doesn't matter if you...
  9. Images of What Is Said to Be a Delidded AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Seemingly Confirms 3D V-Cache Is Now Underneath CCD

It's reported that upon a closeup inspection of the die a layer normally seen at the top of AMD's X3D parts is no longer visible and is suspected to be underneath the die. It also appears that whoever provided the images used a Thermal Grizzly Delid-Die-Mate originally designed for the Ryzen...
  10. AMD 9800X3D Has an Unlocked Multiplier According to Leaked Specs and a New Rumor Suggests That Its 3D V-Cache Is Layered Under the CCD

Pretty much. USB4 and PCIe 5.0 for the GPU. Currently not a big deal but this is likely going to be a rig I'll be using going into retirement (6 years on the horizon) so making a solid choice now will have long term positives down the road.
  11. AMD 9800X3D Has an Unlocked Multiplier According to Leaked Specs and a New Rumor Suggests That Its 3D V-Cache Is Layered Under the CCD

Well, only 2 weeks until they're out in the wild and we'll get to see real reviews. Can't wait but even doesn't matter if I want this or a 9900/9950X3D since there are no mATX boards out yet for the 800 series. I'd really like to get an 870 mATX but ASUS has a nice ITX already out.
  12. AMD 9800X3D Has an Unlocked Multiplier According to Leaked Specs and a New Rumor Suggests That Its 3D V-Cache Is Layered Under the CCD

Despite only two weeks until release, the rumor mill continues, and it appears the AMD 9800X3D has yet more tricks to reveal. See full article...
  13. ASUS TUF GAMING X870-Plus WiFi Motherboard Review

Thanks for the review. Catching up on a bunch of stuff this weekend as I'm beginning my research for a future AM5 build. Pretty good price point for what this offers given that the "e" versions are quite a bit more expensive.
  14. ROG STRIX X870-I GAMING WIFI

Potential contender for future AM5 build I'm planning. https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x870-i-gaming-wifi/ The B850 boards are not out yet, but are expected to arrive in 2025. However, while looking up on them I came across this board which does look interesting and...
  15. Intel Core Ultra 9 285K & Ultra 5 245K CPU Review

Thanks, @Brent_Justice for the very detailed review of these CPUs and extra testing with both power modes. It's a shame that APO isn't supported for the games reviewed, especially since they are popular titles that users are likely to have in their libraries. I wonder if Intel will be able to...

Yep, was already under consideration for Monday. I also saw this one yesterday while doing my Saturday crawl.
