  1. AMD Reportedly Prepping High-End Navi GPU Referred to Internally as “The NVIDIA Killer”

I'm pretty sure that relatioship is made up. She mentioned it in one of her interviews, might have been with anandtech.
  2. AMD Reportedly Prepping High-End Navi GPU Referred to Internally as “The NVIDIA Killer”

Yeah that's the thing a lot of people seem to forget. Intel has been dicking around for like 8+ years now while Nvidia has just increased prices but continues to actually try to make better products.
  3. Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony Agree to Loot Box Disclosures by 2020

I remember when people go upset about map packs costing money, which I bought for games I actually played. This whole cosmetic nonsense never even interested me in the slightest. Oh I can pay $5 for some virtual bling which nobody cares about! Loot boxes are the same thing, if they actually...
  4. AMD Reportedly Prepping High-End Navi GPU Referred to Internally as “The NVIDIA Killer”

Next year....when Nvidia shows up with their new cards on 10/7nm. I don't see it killing anything except the previous gen again (2080Ti).
  5. Microsoft's Twitch Competitor Criticized for Strict Dress Code

I think the point is they want it to be about streaming games, not tits. You can go to any porn site and watch that if you want to.
  6. AMD's Latest AGESA Update Removes PCIe 4.0 Support on Pre-X570 Motherboards

I wonder how the AMD fans are gonna react to this, probably ignore it. I bet if Intel did something similar we would see a huge ****storm over on reddit :ROFLMAO:
  7. Apple Adds Software Lock to iPhone Batteries, Discouraging 3rd-Party Repair

The battery itself still works just fine though, which the title seems to indicate it wouldn't. I honestly don't see anything wrong with this since Apple has no idea if the person who replaced the battery used a proper one or installed it correctly. As long as it isn't prevented from doing its...
  8. Apple Adds Software Lock to iPhone Batteries, Discouraging 3rd-Party Repair

So you can still repair and it will work just fine, but you won't get battery health information? I don't really see the issue here, that part of the software is meant to work with their specific batteries and you have no actual ownership of the software. Title is misleading.
  9. What Linux OS do you use currently?

How do you like FreeNAS and if you are using ZFS, how do you deal with adding drives? I use Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS on my home server and just use WoL and SSH to access it from my laptop.
  10. Disney Announces Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu Streaming Bundle for $12.99 a Month

They'll probably start increasing the prices as adoption increases. This just seems like a starting point to get a solid userbase.
  11. Wolfenstein: Youngblood Launching a Day Early on PC, but without Ray Tracing

A lot of "oh my god there's women!!!" leading to negative reviews. I'm probably gonna wait until the dust settles and get it on a sale.
  12. Firefox vs Google Chrome Battle it Out!

I switched to Firefox a couple months ago and honestly have noticed zero difference. I try to get away from google products as much as possible, getting tired of their ad/privacy garbage.
  13. Zen 2 Quest (3733 CL14-15-15-28 @ 1.47v Get)

I was getting really frustrated with memory OC'ing because my scores kept getting worse/staying the same even though I went from CL16 (16-16-18-36) to CL14 (14-14-17-30). Funnily enough, I switched Geardown and Powerdown to auto and everything was fixed. I'm assuming it wasa the powerdown...
  14. Apple’s Credit Card Will Be Released in August

Why does interest rate matter? If you aren't paying off your card completely every month, you're doing it wrong.
  15. Synology NAS Devices Are Becoming a Frequent Target for Ransomware Crooks

It's not like Ubuntu Server where the default firewall just blocks everything? Huh, that's kind of lame
  16. More OLED on the way

    Just get a 219" micro-led display from Sony for a cool ~$700k :)
  17. Synology NAS Devices Are Becoming a Frequent Target for Ransomware Crooks

If you don't need to access them outside of your home, can't you just block all remote access outside of your network?
  18. Ryzen 3900X Windows 10 1903 vs Ubuntu Linux 18.04

They just used the one most people probably use vs some obscure one?
  19. Apple Buys Intel’s Smartphone Modem Business for $1 Billion

It'll be about 5 years before their deal with Qualcomm is up, just enough time to make Intel's former modem business into something useful/competitive!
  20. Worlds First Stock Watercooled M.2 PCIE SSD Drive!

Looks like it's just still water in there that you can fill up if it evaporates somehow. So for long, sustained writing I feel like this isn't going to be all that useful since the water will just keep heating up.
