I see laying it flat may still prove to be too tall for certain entertainment centers. I am really surprise Microsoft didn't just increase the volume of the Xbox One case from 4.3 liters to 7.9 liters to accommodate the better cooling solution while keeping a slimmer profile for entertainment...
Especially more and more folks are buying digital. It is a shame they let Impulse rot after acquiring it from Stardock, could have done something with it if Gamestop actually put some effort into it.
I agree, this is a money grab for the remaining players. What make this worse is there was suppose to be a big update with NPC this year but that has gotten push back until next year while players gets this crap.
Indeed, Mwave Australia selling 9900K for $799AUD or about $540, Ryzen 3900X is $809AUD or $547. I probably see Mwave Australia being 10% higher price than the states, at $550, the KS is still a hard pill to swallow.
I agree, 8700K is still an adequate CPU for a lot of workload, no point of upgrading CPU until there is a need. By then, you probably need a whole new system anyway.
So they claimed their thermal pad is much more effect than TIM but now only available for their laptops and desktops. So to test their claim, I have to buy their laptop or desktop. Seems legit. /s
Hmm 3900 Pro at 65TDP, that is a very tempting build for SFF, but I gonna wait to see how much of a performance loss I will get, if it is anything like 3700X to 3800X then I can see myself getting 3900 Pro.
I am surprise they are doubling down on renovating their retail space when it could be better spent competing online and closing their stores to decrease overheads. I find their website can use an update in looks and money can be use to renovate that.
Yup, at least not having to tie their architecture to their process node bit them in the butt. I remembered this was said to Kyle when he attended Intel day earlier this year.
I see, so probably next generation upgrade for you as a 2080Ti is I beleve 30%-35% increase from 1080Ti. I can from a GTX 1070 to RTX 2080Ti so it was a huge upgrade for me, but I definitely can see your point that coming from a 1080Ti, it won't be a great upgrade.
