  1. Fortnite Could Soon Return to iOS Devices Once Its Latest App Review Application Is Approved by Apple

I thought Fortnight was fun when it was a survival team-based shooter. The Battle Royale killed it.
  2. GTX1080 and Re Bar

Yeah I’d be looking hard at the PSU if the RAM passes a men check. PSUs are usually built to kill power if they get shorted or overloaded, and sometimes over time that gets a hair trigger on it and is a bit overly aggressive
  3. GTX1080 and Re Bar

My want to run a memory checker - I've had the "instant reboot" issue with bad ram. Also bad PSU, but that's much harder to test for without just doing a swap, although you can get close if you stress test the system. Prime95+Furmark or whatever your favorite tool for pulling as much power and...
  4. Microsoft Conquers Sony as Xbox Titles Claim Top Three Spots on PlayStation Charts

I'm sure they could, but I think the latency would be so terrible it would be closer to watching Netflix than playing a video game.
  5. My Ryzen 9 9950X Died... on an ASRock Motherboard (talking head)

Have to admit I've always avoided Asrock. They just always looked flimsy. A lot of folks have had great luck with them though. Doesn't mean I'm happy to see this though, by any means. It sucks. Hope they work it out amicably for all involved.
  6. Microsoft Conquers Sony as Xbox Titles Claim Top Three Spots on PlayStation Charts

I’d say Sony isn’t worried at all. It really looks like Microsoft is about to pull an Atari or Sega and just drop out of the console hardware game and be a publishing house. As long as the game is selling on Sony’s platform, they get royalties. Then it’s a two-horse race for consoles (well...
  7. Half Life 3 Rumored to Be “Playable, End-to-End,” and Valve Might Release Gordon’s Final Adventure Sometime This Year

I think it was promoted well enough, just not via traditional channels
  8. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Has Become One of the Highest-Rated Video Games of the Year So Far

Don’t know what to make of this one It looks like BG3 or original Dragon Age on the surface, but every time I read a review it sounds like a Souls game
  9. Microsoft increases prices of consoles, accessories, and games...

It would be convenient if this was due to tariffs… but I don’t think it is. Not that I agree with them, but that’s an entirely different discussion for another place.
  10. Microsoft increases prices of consoles, accessories, and games...

I guess this is one way to gracefully exit the hardware business, while subtly pushing everyone to your subscription service They didn’t even have the courtesy to roll this out with a refresh or anything. Had they done anything to the hardware, even a new color or a “slim” or something, they...
  11. Borderlands 4 Twenty-Minute State of Play Deep Dive Details New Vault Hunters and Weapons, Revamped Gameplay, and More

I’ll be honest, other than the one that had annoying gravity - if I sat down and played a random Bl game I couldn’t really tell you what version I was playing. They all kinda play/feel the same to me. Not necessarily a bad thing, in small doses. But it was always - see the main story play...
  12. Grand Theft Auto VI Release Date Now Pushed Back to May 2026

Give more time for that $80 price point to sink in, so when GTA6 comes out at $100 it seems more normal
  13. Weird laptop wifi issue

Check power settings. Probably some power saving thing for the WiFi that is kicking in. Either in the advanced Power settings for Windows, or the driver for the WiFi card on Device Manager The hint is that it changes with the power cord, and Windows will automatically change Power settings...
  14. EA Institutes Roughly 300 Layoffs That Include Around 100 Staff at Respawn, Two Projects Canceled, One of Which Is Believed to Be a New Titanfall Game

Wasn't Apex pulling in big dollars at one point? I thought it was still fairly large.

  16. GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G Video Card Review

F'n $600 for an entry level GPU is ... just gonna kill gaming rigs. Why not just get a console for that money? Say hello to our new discrete graphic overlords.
  17. Swapping SSD from an HP laptop to a Dell

I think you need to run the Repair option in Windows Recovery to reset the UEFI boot partition, since MBRs aren't really used any longer.
