  1. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Processor Officially Announced Including Complete Specifications and Pricing

Yeah it's going to be a real shame if the 5090 is priced for the rich. The way things are looking my new build is probably going to be either a 9950X3D (If dual 3D cache on both CCDs) or 9950X and probably a 4090 since I wont be paying Nvidia tax for a 5090.
  2. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Processor Officially Announced Including Complete Specifications and Pricing

For the 9800X3D you don't need anything fancy. It's a single CCD with a single CCX. So all cores/threads will have access to the same L3. Scheduling only gets tricky with processors that have more than one CCD or more than one CCX per CCD. Those are generally the x900 series of processors from...
  3. Apple Unveils New iMac with M4 Chip as Users Wonder Why Latest Magic Mouse Has USB-C Port on the Bottom

So far mine has held up and I use my mouse/computer for hours a day every day. I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but it was earlier this year. The mousepad has replacement "pads" that you can swap out while keeping the wireless base station. Haven't had to worry about that yet either.
  4. AMD 9800X3D Has an Unlocked Multiplier According to Leaked Specs and a New Rumor Suggests That Its 3D V-Cache Is Layered Under the CCD

I have shell scripts that taskset pins tasks to specific cores and CCDs so cross CCD communication over the infinity fabric doesn't occur. It's the same "problem" for all AMD Ryzen, EPYC and Thread ripper lineups with more than 1 CCD and/or more than one CCX within a CCD.
  5. AMD 9800X3D Has an Unlocked Multiplier According to Leaked Specs and a New Rumor Suggests That Its 3D V-Cache Is Layered Under the CCD

I don't care where they put it. Just give me two of them on the 9950X3D. Please, AMD. I beg you.
  6. Apple Unveils New iMac with M4 Chip as Users Wonder Why Latest Magic Mouse Has USB-C Port on the Bottom

I love the new Logitech system. The mousepad wirelessly charges my mouse. I've been using it for ~6 months now and haven't had to charge my mouse once. It just keeps it charged as long as I keep it on the mouse pad.

  9. Table/Chart/List of motherboard heatsink mounting dimensions

Does anyone know of a list somewhere online that shows all the dimensions of the mounting holes for mounting cooling hardware on the CPU? I looked on Google and a lot of places kept pointing to a thread on XS that allegedly had a nice size list, but XtremeSystems seems to be having technical...
  10. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Reportedly Spotted Hitting 5.2 GHz on All Cores and Could Launch as Early as November, According to the Latest Rumors

Man I hope so much that the 9950X3D has 3D cache on both CCX's. That would be one heck of a CPU for my use.
  11. 50 TB HDDs Are Coming in 2026–2027, IEEE Says

I got a pair of 12TB drives that are both over 95% capacity and I've limited my use on them recently until I get more storage.
  12. Piracy Causes a 20% Drop in Game Revenue, Denuvo DRM Research Finds

If it wasn't for piracy. I probably wouldn't have become the gamer that I am today. Granted I buy games now that I can afford them, but as was mentioned above me. When I was a kid and couldn't afford to buy the games, I would get them using other avenues. All of those games I played as a kid I...
