    For the 9800X3D you don't need anything fancy. It's a single CCD with a single CCX. So all cores/threads will have access to the same L3.     So far mine has held up and I use my mouse/computer for hours a day every day. I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but it was earlier this year. The mousepad has replacement "pads" that you can swap out while keeping the wireless base station. Haven't had to worry about that yet either.

    I have shell scripts that taskset pins tasks to specific cores and CCDs so cross CCD communication over the infinity fabric doesn't occur. It's the same "problem" for all AMD Ryzen, EPYC and Thread ripper lineups with more than 1 CCD and/or more than one CCX within a CCD.

    I love the new Logitech system. The mousepad wirelessly charges my mouse. I've been using it for ~6 months now and haven't had to charge my mouse once. It just keeps it charged as long as I keep it on the mouse pad.
