  1. GSC Explains Why It Couldn’t Delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Any Longer to Fix Bugs: “You’re So Tired That You Would Just Die”

What I don't get is why do people think there is a right and a wrong choice on when to play a game. Everyone is free to choose. I played Cyberpunk 2077 when it launched and I don't regret it. Someone else deciding to wait however long did not bother me, unless they were trying to convince me...
  2. “Heartbroken”: Ubisoft Shuts Down XDefiant and Two of Its Studios

Ubisoft should get used to not owning studios.
  3. GSC Explains Why It Couldn’t Delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Any Longer to Fix Bugs: “You’re So Tired That You Would Just Die”

No, they hit the pause sleep for a few days then start on fixing the bugs at a regular non-crunch pace. Pushing the deadline forward is not always an option. Why don't they set a release date that is comfortable to begin with? Because no matter how much time you allow for this type of project...
  4. GSC Explains Why It Couldn’t Delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Any Longer to Fix Bugs: “You’re So Tired That You Would Just Die”

They don't even want to release, they are comfortable with the perpetual alpha situation while the income from sold jpgs outweigh their operating costs. When that's no longer the case assuming that ever happens they'll just put out a "final" version that still will be a buggy mess.
  5. GSC Explains Why It Couldn’t Delay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Any Longer to Fix Bugs: “You’re So Tired That You Would Just Die”

From what I've seen in videos it looks worse or at least as bad as CP2077 was. But its hard to tell how often the bugs appear from videos focusing on the bugs.
  6. Microsoft Calls TPM 2.0 a “Non-Negotiable” Standard for Windows, Closing the Door on Windows 11 Supporting Older Hardware

TPM, secureboot and such nonsense only ever caused me grief. Like 2FA it is a source of anxiety. What if i loose my phone or it breaks? I loose access to my accounts. I forget the encryption key I loose access to my freaking computer in case of a MB failure. I don't want it, I don't need it, it...
  7. NZXT’s PC Subscription Service Has Been a “Godsend,” Customers Say

More like good concepts executed extremely poorly. I had an NZXT fan controller which was exactly the product I wanted with custom fan curves, except the software would randomly forget said fan curves or worse fail to ramp up the fans when needed and everything would overheat. I'm not an...
  8. Noctua and Seasonic Partner to Launch Ultra-Quiet Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition ATX 3.1 PC Power Supply

Me sitting here having manually replaced the PSU fan with a noctua one.
  9. Microsoft Blocks Windows 11 24H2 Update on PCs with Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Other Ubisoft Games Installed

"Old" Outlaws came out a month ago. Also yes, it is MS's responsibility to maintain reasonable compatibility when pushing updates.
  10. NVIDIA Warns of A Gaming GPU Shortage as It Prepares to Launch Its GeForce RTX 50 Series

It's not that I can't, but I won't. I never saw the point in being on the cutting edge, now with scalping and already overpriced HW even less so. Why? Just to have it? I'd rather wait until I actually need it.
  11. NVIDIA Warns of A Gaming GPU Shortage as It Prepares to Launch Its GeForce RTX 50 Series

Who even is looking forward to a $2500 card? I think scalpers are in for a rude awakening, because most people don't even want to spend the original asking price. I certainly don't. And it's not like there is some major game release coming to drive spending. I think the next time I upgrade my...
  12. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Was Never Powerful Enough to Run Ray Tracing Properly, It’s Claimed

As a former 2080Ti owner, I think not even that was powerful enough for it.
  13. Control 2 Will Be an Action RPG, Remedy Entertainment Reveals

That's also how we normalized Day 1 DLCs. A flaw is a flaw no matter how many times I've seen it before. I'm not saying Control is a terrible game, but the prospect of getting more of the same doesn't sound very enticing to me.
  14. Control 2 Will Be an Action RPG, Remedy Entertainment Reveals

That's all it was, some interesting story elements that amounted to nothing ultimately. In a game of repetitive encounters, annoying backtracking, and frustrating running around in mazes.
  15. Control 2 Will Be an Action RPG, Remedy Entertainment Reveals

Just make Max Payne 3, Remedy. No, I don't acknowledge the one made by Rockstar as canon.
  16. Pizza Hut’s 3D-Printed Pizza Warmer for PS5 Is Now Available for Download

Wasn't this a joke product? Announced in 2020, but I can find no evidence of it ever being released.
  17. Live-Action Splinter Cell Movie Featuring Tom Hardy with John Wick Producer Is No Longer Happening

Splinter Cell is probably current year ubisoft's most mismanaged IP, and that's saying a lot if you've seen how they are managing their other properties.
  18. “I Can’t Afford It”: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Will Cost Anywhere from $2K to $2.5K, Leaker Says

Same, except I'm still interested in gaming the issue is that there are barely any interesting games nowadays. 1 or 2 hit or miss titles a year is not worth spending that much.
