  1. AMD Zen 5 “Strix” APU Features Performance and Efficiency Cores

The rumor mill suggests this is not like Intel's P and E cores in many ways. Rumors I have seen suggest that both cores support the same ISA (Intels don't) and as you mentioned both cores support hyper threading. The support of the same ISA is a non-trivial part of the performance challenges...

  3. Christopher Nolan Explains Why Dialog in Oppenheimer May Be Hard to Hear

I think it was the sound mixing. The only reason I couldn't hear an actor was the stupid amount of bass when people were speaking. I mean way way way too much base when it was like a court scene or stressful conversation.
  4. Intel Leaves the NUC Business: “We Have Decided to Stop Direct Investment”

Im sad about this. Ill have to make sure to pick one up before they are gone. I like the small form factor with associated low cost. Never was interested in the high end ones that cost as much as a full blown PC.
  5. BMW Shows Off Its Motorrad ConnectedRide HUD Smartglasses That Can Be Used for Up to Ten Hours of Operation

  7. Intel Proposes 64-Bit Mode-Only “x86S” Architecture as Leaked Roadmap Shows Cancellation of 6P+8E Meteor Lake-S Desktop CPUs

@Uvilla I do agree here. This would allow some additional simplicity and reduced complexity which will get good for the old x86.
  8. Intel Proposes 64-Bit Mode-Only “x86S” Architecture as Leaked Roadmap Shows Cancellation of 6P+8E Meteor Lake-S Desktop CPUs

A significant number of games will never be 64 bit, and alot of people still like to play those. However, it sounds like an alternate mode of 32-bit support would still be available.
  9. Report: NVIDIA Halts Supply of Chips Ahead of GeForce RTX 4060 Ti’s May/June Launch as AMD Preps Radeon RX 7600 for Computex Reveal

I wonder how long NVidia's and AMD's margins can stand this. Most people are not made of money and the performance per dollar gains have been going down pretty rapidly. When cards are reasonable and performance gains are good people will buy gen after gen, but now we have the opposite prices are...

  12. NVIDIA DLSS 3 Delivers Huge Gains to Marvel’s Midnight Suns, HITMAN World of Assassination, and Other New DLSS 3 Titles on GeForce RTX 40 Series

This is an interesting idea to set a target FPS and have DLSS only upscale/duplicate frames when its below target. But that defeats the purpose of the frame generation feature as its mostly for marketing and not to improve fidelity or performance in a meaningful way. (IMHO) A friend of mine was...
  13. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series and Radeon RX 8000 Series Rumors Surface, Teasing Massive Performance Gains

I think there was confusion in the nvidia release - it was supposed to be - "Biggest price leap in NVIDIA history"

  15. Eidos-Montréal Reportedly Wants to Make New Deus Ex Game That Will Do “What Cyberpunk 2077 Couldn’t”

The real issue to me, is the world and back story. The actual cyberpunk universe is a rich story to be tapped. I love the cyberpunk universe.
  16. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D vs AMD Ryzen 7 5800X: A Cache Value?

It would be nice to see the min frames as well here. Im curious if in the stress cases the cache is helping or not. I fell thats a pretty important metric to expose for all video card/cpu reviews.
  17. [PR] Seagate Breathes Life into Gaming Rigs with New FireCuda 120 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB SATA SSDs

So is this a typo? ...FireCuda 120 takes gaming rigs to the next level with a SATA 6GB/s interface... Don't most consumer motherboards still use SATA 3? Which is 6 Gb/s which is a far cry from 6 GB/s? And why so expensive for a SATA drive? Are these SLC/MLC or something?
