Counter-Strike 2 Continues to Pull In over 1 Million Players Despite Competition from Battlefield 6, ARC Raiders, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

I'm definitely a part of that group. Sure I want it to be fun but da**it, I started with pong in B&W and at this point I want things to look the best they can be.

Micron to Discontinue Its Crucial Brand of Consumer SSDs and Memory Products So It Can Chase the AI Magic Dragon

My guess is that more than likely that with current prices/costs being what they are there's no one able to pay 2x to 3x over market value to cover current inventory/orders.

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

Kind of there too and basically replaying things or tinkering with various remasters/remakes. I got the Silent 2 remake on sale about a month ago just to see what all the fuss was about, and while I did enjoy some parts of it, but very disturbed by others, and really saw how it led to the Alan...

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

Pretty much the same that was done with SW, prequels, 1st and 2nd trilogies that all aligned with the same sequential numbers, but I do agree though, that it would've made more sense to start another branch but its easier to keep the marketing for sales by not doing so. Imagine The Witcher Ciri...

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

I'm glad they're taking their time but I did get a sense of concern from the board members regarding the amount of time and investment for TW4 but CDPR stuck to their guns in saying this is what they always said the plan was and are committed to it. I'm only bummed because I feel like the TW1...

    Smoking hot deal! 32gb DDR5 for only $400! /s

I almost posted on some of these here yesterday when I saw mention on Tom's but when I clicked on the link, the combo's were already sold out. Yep, pretty much the same thing Newegg was doing with GPUs when all the crap happened with them. I even saw a joke post on reddit where someone mentioned...

The more you know - thermal paste edition

I tried the X method on my 9800X3D and then removed it just to see the effect and it was more or less just like this video. I was honestly surprised, and bummed since I then had to clean and redo it again.

AMD RDNA 3.5 Radeon 8060S iGPU Dukes It Out, and Bests, NVIDIA RTX 4070 and Many Other Mobile Graphics Solutions

I've actually wondered the same thing. I guess one perspective is they're really trying to offer a cheaper handheld compared to the whole kit n kaboodle of the switch or premium like the claw, rog, or ayneo's and then let the gabecube be the home upgrade. Personally, I'd prefer a Halo Strix top...

The Price of Steam Machine Could Be Within the $600–$800 Range, According to Costs of a Mock-Up Test Build

Yep, when it comes to something truly more progressive, the Steam Frame is definitely more exciting. Wireless VR with some good specs to boot is pretty cool. Edit: I honestly keep forgetting about it which is sad since there's a pretty good chance I'll end up getting one.

DRAM Prices Skyrocket to a Record 171% YoY Level as Shortages Continue amid Increased Demand from AI-Driven Applications

Scarier still is that despite the hype of 171% YoY increase, the price jump from May/June for that ram kit is actually closer to 4x than 2x.

DRAM Prices Skyrocket to a Record 171% YoY Level as Shortages Continue amid Increased Demand from AI-Driven Applications

Yeah, it's crazy that at each I feel I'm spending an insane amount on something, there's nearly always yet another event which makes it look affordable in hindsight.

DRAM Prices Skyrocket to a Record 171% YoY Level as Shortages Continue amid Increased Demand from AI-Driven Applications

Wow, I paid less for all of this (which includes a premium priced mATX board) than what it would now cost just for the memory alone:
