DRAM Prices Skyrocket to a Record 171% YoY Level as Shortages Continue amid Increased Demand from AI-Driven Applications

I read a post on TPU while researching this that mentioned mem kits on Newegg that had been at just over $100 now costing more than $200. So glad most of my stuff is where I need it to be for now but worried what'll be like next fall when I was planning on upgrading the 5800X3D rig to AM5, that...

Microsoft Brings Xbox Full Screen Experience to Compatible Mobile Devices

I feel sorry for them in terms of MS support which of late has fell off a cliff into the ocean and drifting to an inter-dimensional portal, but also think its great for those wanting to have a unified UI across multiple devices. I kind of like it and may try at some point but I don't really...

    Worthy K800 keyboard replacement?

Hey folks, I know there's threads out there for this but just wondering if anyone has anything new to suggest. Fully aware how Logitech was bought in 2013, model no longer being made and about the scalped versions from China that aren't worth crap. I've got one of the originals from over 10...

Windows 11 Continues to Get More Bugs Following the Decomissioning of Windows 10

I think I figured it out, and it's not AI that's causing all these issues at Microsoft. NVIDIA finally let go of that intern who was releasing all those buggy drivers when the 50-series launched, and they landed an exec position in Microsoft's QA division. And on that note . . ...

AMD Puts Owners of Older RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 GPUs on a Rollercoaster Ride with Statements Regarding Its Latest Driver Updates

Just providing this update. Also, I'll probably end up doing an AMD news roundup before the week's end since there's more happening on other fronts. https://www.techpowerup.com/342481/amd-clarifies-maintenance-mode-for-radeon-rx-5000-6000-series-first-day-game-support-remains

Yet Another Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT Becomes Victim of Burnt 12V-2×6 Power Connector

I agree, we're at a point where a complete redesign needs to be worked on. We've seen for several gens now how the GPU is often bigger than the rest of the build. That alone is a clear indicator of a shift in processing power and needs.

Three most popular hardware items on Newegg (all three may surprise you!) on Nov 02, 2025

Laptop for kid. HDD as a poor mans NAS for misc media. I've got an external 18 TB for the same. GPU for gaming rig upgrade. Honestly though, since I only trust online retailers so far, Newegg could've just made this up to move inventory.

Windows 11 Continues to Get More Bugs Following the Decomissioning of Windows 10

Had a user bring me their work laptop because it had an update giving problems. I fully expected it to be the current cumulative update that's been giving grief to so many. However, I was not prepared to find out the laptop had been to the future and back.

Yet Another Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT Becomes Victim of Burnt 12V-2×6 Power Connector

So far so good with all the GPUs I've owned with these connectors (2x 3090 Ti's (used 4x 8-pin adapters at first for these), 4080 SUPER, 4090, and now 2x 5090's) but I also made the upgrade to ATX 3.1 back when I got a 4090. We all know there can be other contributing factors but I wanted to...
