Actually, I still have an audigy card X-fi I think, its PCI though. Also I was never able to activate DDL on it, it was supposed to support it.

Back in the day I had a nforce2 Abit mobo with DD Live coupled via SPDIF with a sony 5.1 home theater, man that was AWESOME. Not that many games had 5.1 back then but the ones that did were amazing. I still have the 5.1 setup but I can no longer do DDL, I'm not aware of any DDL or DTS Connect...

I currently have a RTX3070Ti and skipped RTX40, not sure if I'll go RTX50, might end up skipping it as well.

Well I think the argument could be that people tend to skip a generation to upgrade, so people upgrading from say a RTX 3070Ti/3080Super can see the benefits of going with a 9000 series.

I can only hope that thanks to the 9070 series prices, 5070Ti prices will como more down to earth and be closer to MSRP (once stock settles). I don't really see nvidia cutting the 5070Ti price but at least getting them for closer to $750 would still be good news.

BTW AMD claiming FSR 4 performance mode is better than FRS3.1 is not saying much but at least is a step in the right direction.

When DLSS was first announced it promised IQ every bit as good as native. Far from it, there were numerous issues like ghosting, smear and blurriness. Then DLSS 2 came out and it was a great improvement delivering IQ that in some instances almost matched native. Still the same issues while...

From what I've seen, 4k gaming is within reach in several games even without DLSS, but RT is pretty much out of the question even with DLSS. well... actually there's multiframe generation, but, really?
