NVIDIA and SEGA Reunite After 30 Years, Bringing Classic Franchises to RTX Spark

Also. Seems that even though nVidia is announcing this, when you read about Spark, it sure seems like they are pushing it towards AI use too. And if it can be used for AI, the voracious appetite of that monster consumes all.

NVIDIA and SEGA Reunite After 30 Years, Bringing Classic Franchises to RTX Spark

First off - ok, so RTX Spark is a CPU. There kinda needs to be an entire machine, with Ram and storage and stuff... Second - it's ARM... so not exactly groundbreaking for anything to be ported to an ARM CPU these days. And lastly - people have to buy these machines, and then the games, for...

SanDisk Launches Optimus GX PRO 850P NVME SSD Lineup for PlayStation 5 with Storage Options up to 8TB

I nearly spit my drink out when I read the body of the post... While I'm absolutely sure there is a market for this stuff, just... I just can't believe there is a market for this stuff.

Palworld is Finally Done with Early Access and Its 1.0 Update is a Monster

I picked this up on a whim like a year ago (mostly as a F-U to Nintendo) It wasn't a bad game if you like the survival world crafting genre, but those aren't exactly my cup of tea. I'll have to boot up 1.0 and see how it holds up.

    Logitech mice

MX master is what I tried out after my MX Vertical become irrevocably sticky. And the Master isn't doing too well on that rubber thumb pad thing. Got half a mind to just start churning through those Chinese off-brand mice. I mean, at like $15 a pop it's almost like they are disposable.

Generative AI Is the Tool of Choice for Japanese Online Game Developers, as a New Survey Claims 100% Are Reportedly Using It

I find I don't really care what a developer uses to make their game. A good game is a good game, and a bad game... isn't. I mean, it's not like Humans weren't already churning out slop long before AI came around...

    Logitech mice

Ok... this is more a rant but if anyone has suggestions or ideas, I'm all ears. I'm not particularly in love with Logitech stuff... but after years of abuse, my wrists can't take a lot of mousing any more. The larger/taller grips on Logitechs (particularly the ergonomic one) help a lot. But...

Microsoft Is Cleaning Up Windows Search by Removing Promotional Content from Its Results

I could understand it if Microsoft handed out Windows for free... But they don't. You pay for it somehow.

Pretty funny video on using extra fans to improve case airflow

Thank you for the summary. Nice to see I didn't screw everything up on fans all these years - I've always kinda done the Goldilocks thing. Wonder how this compares to the positive case pressure crowd, since it seems to pretty much say don't do that.

    Making a water block

I have, years and years ago. I broke many Durons figuring it out. I still have it somewhere, but can't find it at the moment. It looks horrendous and frankestein, but it worked. Getting the mounting down is the hardest part. Everything else is just plumbing.

Thermaltake Announces Dockpower FL Power Supply Series Featuring a Removable Dock Module

It looks neat, but not really sure what the benefit is here, since the cables are already modular. Seems like just one more connection point that could break that doesn't really add any value to anything. I see this kind of connection on industrial PC/PLCs all the time - but those are terminal...

PlayStation 6 Might Not Arrive Until After January 2028, When Sony Swiches to Digital-Only Game Releases

Meh - I’m over it. Yeah sucks to see it go, and yeah - you don’t own anything. But last time I bought a physical game was about 10 years ago, and they shut the servers down 5 years ago anyway - so not like owning the physical disc did me a lot of good there anyway.

Console Wars Are in Full Force as XBOX Reveals That Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution Will Both Be Exclusives

I find myself getting bored with most games in general, to be honest. The few that do seem to keep my attention lately are usually not the flashy, popular AAA games any longer. Given the current state of gaming PCs.. honestly, if/when my current computer craps out, I dunno that I'll build...
