I mean fair. It's not about the data on the screen... it's about the cycles being burned to do the work. Bad code or bad hardware you be the judge but you should not be cooking your video cards even with a simple image could even be static being drawn in an specific way at out of control...

Uncapped frame rates are a bane when bad drivers or driver calls let parts run in a race condition ahead of other parts in the channel. Days or thunder reference.. you hit 10000fps.. you basically money shifted your video card.

It all comes down to OPex or CAPex. Is it a capital expense (hardware) or Operational Expense (License.).

I did under volt to max 90% power just to be careful. No perceived impact yet.

Yea I keep forgetting miniled still needs backlighting. Sounds like it will be nice though. And the dang C6 and C5 42 inch displays are now over 1k and 1.2k respectively. Definitly turns me off of them. I got my C3 for 799 when I got it and am still trucking along. Data theft and all.

My hard hot E-Peen says I am holding it right... the problem is my connector is going soft in the heat and just can't stay solid. I'm thinking some kind of desensitizing (cooling) coating needs to be used so my connector can stay firm longer and really drive home the pleasure... of gaming.

We are headed that way with everything. Even corporate tools, Office 365 largely is going web based interface only for licenses even. It's bonkers.

Why would I want that over a solid 4k set of monitors?

MMOs have a deep social aspect to them of additional value that stand alone games can not equate. That is the value od the MMO sub... well that and keeping kiddie trolls out mostly.

So you think they will try and Netflix gaming.. investors do LOVE RMR. But I don't think I would sign up for this at all. Now if they did that for streaming services only.. and that was bundled into that tier of service then maybe. But console owners and pc owners that can run their own...

I've stopped gaming when traveling. Have a personal laptop still and use it for discord and social media and such on the road. But nothing beats 4k gaming at home on a 42 inch screen. :)

Lets also keep in mind over driving memory has been known to cook 9000 series CPU's.

This right here makes me want to think about undervolting. Sigh...

Or more concerned with the GPU that's another 100 bucks you can put toward your GPU tier.
