Probably Bound to Happen: Increased Power Draw for DLSS 5 Reportedly Claims Its First Victim After a User Finds an RTX 5090 with a Melted Power Ada...

My hard hot E-Peen says I am holding it right... the problem is my connector is going soft in the heat and just can't stay solid. I'm thinking some kind of desensitizing (cooling) coating needs to be used so my connector can stay firm longer and really drive home the pleasure... of gaming.

There's hope. Upto 900W without any melting concerns but say bye bye to warranty if you do this to your $5K GPU.
Posted on that one here.

Just curious, has anyone heard of one melting on a card with a custom loop? I don't remember ever seeing pics of one.

Well seeing as how installing a water block almost surely voids a warranty. I'd be willing to bet any such cards were reverted to the stock cooling solution for pics.
