The melting connectors would like a word. :p The ensh1ttification of everything does seem to be snowballing.

Microslop and Nvidia have both bragged about AI writing code. Both have gotten progressively worse.

For raster and vram my Radeons are aging great. Good thing that's what I bought them for. But that's not enough to make fine wine in the 2020s. I'd give it to RTX but cheesing on the vram and FG is not fine wine either. 20 series is perhaps deserving, as it is 8 years old, still gets full driver...

From the Tech Spot article

This is the competition we need. Intel is being aggressive with MSRP, which is great. Forces AMD to cut prices, and shoppers win regardless of platform chosen.

Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor are great. Make movies like that. Stop with the Disney Princess strategy, and get back to the roots. I.E. Bad *** knights and wizards, fell beasts, exotic settings, droids everywhere, and the eternal struggle concerning how power corrupts.

The own nothing and be happy strategy corpos are leaning hard into, will see to it the vast back catalogue of games like Oni, I have never played, get my time.

This type of game appeals to me. I will pick it up when it is under $30 and seen a slew of bug fixes. E.G. I put over 200hrs into a single play through of Assassins Creed Odyssey.

That latest poll now has over 38K votes and still at 81%. There is no getting around it, the tech is not ready for prime time, and they should have waited on the reveal. Alex from DF of all people, made some great points. Including the fact there is an ethical discussion to be had completely...

I agree with what you wrote, this quote being the exception. And I strongly encourage trolls to stop threatening the safety of the DF crew. They must be putting crazy in the food supply now. People's cheese slides off the cracker over the most minor of disagreements. DF 100% deserves the...

I bought my son a entry level gaming laptop back in 2018 for college. 4c/8t i5 8th gen, GTX 1650 4GB, NVME 2x8GB 2666. He still has it, only needed a new battery and repaste these last 8 years. The real value lies in the future proofing. Still powerful enough for daily driver and most games. I...

The uncanny valley and generic sameness does not appeal to my brain. I suppose the upside is this is the worst it will ever look, and it will keep getting better? While I appreciate graphics, if the gameplay hooks me, I quickly forget about them. I certainly don't play games like FO New Vegas...

A few of my favorites so far

This game is shaping up to be yet another big budget financial failure. They put 100s of millions into ads, marketing, and development. Already dropped from the peak players of less than 90K over a weekend, a terrible sign. Probably some refunds in there. Estimates are that is only a million...

I have been skipping around. Almost finished with playthroughs of Fallout 4, Red Dead Redemption, Shadow of Mordor. Just started another playthrough of Jedi Survivor, and my first ever playthrough of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I played the other 2 to completion last year for the first time. It...

LMAO anyone still using those likely does not have money for a modern upgrade. Or if they do, they have been saving a loooong time. I want the valve hardware to do well because it is the first time it seems truly possible that millions of PC gamers could migrate away from microslop.

I had the Oculus Quest before Facebook bought them, would not have bought it otherwise. Then my wife won the Q2 in a contest and gave it to me. Talk about full on Metaverse, quite unsavory. Looking forward to ditching that ecosystem for the Frame. I'll also close out my Facebook account where I...

But don't worry guys. If the infinite money glitch ends, they will come back to us like a drunken ex looking for sport sex at 3 am. Maybe.

I listened to some of that MLID interview while cooking and cleaning. Guest said Intel people he talks to are unusually confident which is good news.

Su said their focus is enterprise. Won't be surprised if dates keep getting pushed back, products canceled, paper launches, etc. A real AMD flagship gaming card sounds great, but unlikely while there is still the infinite money glitch.
