Thanks for the info, good to know it's likely a driver issue. I have extra nvme drives I can install Pop! on to try. I did not try gaming on cachy with the B580 so I need to give that a go.

This Red Devil in silent bios is working out great. Probably could still under-volt it further. On the other topic: I tried my EVGA 2070 Super with my Z790 and CachyOS. No dice. Tried 2 different m&kb and it is unuseable. There is a 3-4 second lag in input reponse. Turned it off from the PSU...

Just spitballing below- As has been discussed here before; Nvidia is likely thinking, the sooner the masses are on a Geforce NOW subscription, the better. They can have Foxconn churn out the GPUs for it. Their partnership with MediaTek could be heading that direction? Devices to play anywhere...

Exactly what we expected.

Igor right now - What makes you think the others will be fine? EVGA bailing out was the herald of things to come. It has become a battle of attrition for the AIBs.

Thanks; looks hilarious.

Corsair is the worst offender on the Reddit PC subs, for doing DDR owners dirty on RMAs. Zotac has always been :poop: tier.

My first thought was - Apex Legends is that you?

I wonder if AMD forensics would find the e-fuse is blown on a lot of these? It is the first generation to support overclocking after all.

I used a 12600kf XFX RX 6800 to play Spider-Man Miles Morales yesterday. 1440 high hit my 120 frame cap a lot of the time. I did not try RT reflections. Last time I tried them on Linux, it CTD. On Nvidia Linux gaming: I have a EVGA 2070 super, I'll see how that does with a fresh install, maybe...

Cool, cool. My windows 💩 filter is full. I have had enough. I only use pro on my builds. By the end of this year, I may not be using windows at all. Linux is going so well. I don't play anything with kernel level anti-cheat, so not a consideration for me. Canceled all my streaming, including game...

If I don't notice it, then it doesn't matter to me. :D It is why I don't use any RT other than reflections unless there is no way around it e.g. Indy Jones. Not being dismissive, merely pragmatic. I doubt anything I see or read will dampen my enthusiasm for Linux. 11 has gotten worse and worse...

In general I agree. For my use case however, Nvidia is not even in the conversation. I am now spending 95% of my time Linux gaming. AMD graphics is the better solution for me, ease of use in particular. Also, I looked up a Linux gaming performance comparison a few months back. AMD showed a much...

I bought a couple month old used Red Devil 9070XT last year. It may as well have been open box. No complaints with it. I always use a frame cap, so I stick with the silent bios. I did manage to run out of vram using the same settings as my 7900XTX in Spider-Man 2. I play for hours at a time, so...

Paying $350 for 8GB in 2026. That's a hard no from me dawg. It'll probably be consider a hot deal in a few months. The dark times have returned. Linux and indie gaming is on the rise, I kid you not. Younger gamers with little cheddar grow weary of corpo greed. But not just the cash strapped...

It is estimated they moved 200K more copies than expected after the game awards. Nice bump regardless of the takesie bascksies. With over five million total copies sold, I think everyone involved has made some serious bank.

They would have lost their butts trying to sell them at a competitive price. I think a rep already said they may as well be wrapping the cards in money. And that was before things went sideways.

Good stuff! Arc has come a long way in a relatively short time. I had to disable the iGPU on a 5700G, to use it with my A750 a couple of years back. As they did not play well together.

As a gamer, this^ And the ARC B770 retail. Launch coming after the other vendors raise prices. So the profit margins do not need to be razor-thin in order to hit a competitive price point.

Yup.
