  1. NVIDIA App May Reduce Game Performance by up to 15%, New Benchmarks Suggest

Lovely. Wasn't everyone saying that this was going to be positive for system performance, as the old app was written poorly? :p
  2. Crucial Discontinues One of Its Most Popular SSDs After 7 Years

I haven't used a SATA SSD in years...
  3. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Is Now Available, Delivering New Character Customization Options, Photo Mode Functionality, Additional Gameplay Improveme...

To each their own. The Johnny story and the environment of this title sucked me in like few others have. I'd rank it up there as the best title I have played in the last 5 years at least. Possibly even 10.
  4. Google Unveils State-of-the-Art Quantum Computing Chip: Less Than 5 Minutes to Perform Computation That Would Take Frontier Supercomputer 10 Septil...

Here Hector entered, with a spear eleven qubits long in his hand; the bronze point gleamed in front of him, and was fastened to the shaft of the spear by a ring of gold. -- Homer (The Iliad)
  5. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Is Now Available, Delivering New Character Customization Options, Photo Mode Functionality, Additional Gameplay Improveme...

I mean, they were supposed to be done wit updates for this title after the last one, right? So I guess I see this as an unexpected bonus. When I tried to play Phantom Liberty late last year, I was disappointed to find I had key binding issues I didn't have during my initial playthrough of...
  6. Eradicate the Human Resistance in Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance’s First DLC: “We Are Legion”

The words first AI generated game title? Played from the perspective of the AI? 😅
  7. Windows 11 Can Now Be Installed on PCs That Don’t Meet Minimum System Requirements, Microsoft Says

This seemed inevitable to combat poor Windows 11 adoption. People will be fuming if they later push an update that breaks it on those systems though, so it is a risk.
  8. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Right. That one. That one was abandoned and will not be coming back. It was a bad idea, and I should never have pursued it :p So, I wanted to lead heat out of my office and make the PC quieter by running really long tubes and stashing all of the radiators, fans and pumps in another room...
  9. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Maybe I am losing my mind, or maybe I am getting too old. I have had high level plans kicking around my head for some time, but I don't remember mentioning this one before. (That doesn't mean I haven't) 😅
  10. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Maybe that is something they changed later? I started my playthrough with v 1.31, and it updated to v1.5x (can't remember exact version) about 2/3rds of the way through my playthrough, so when I did the secret ending it was in v 1.5x. In that version I was definitely able to save, but it was...
  11. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

I played through all endings. Oddly enough when I re-loaded the game after phantom Liberty was released, I found that all of my save games from the secret ending (there were lots of them, due to how difficult it was) were missing. It was really quite strange. All of my save games from...
  12. Google Unveils State-of-the-Art Quantum Computing Chip: Less Than 5 Minutes to Perform Computation That Would Take Frontier Supercomputer 10 Septil...

Yep, it's already possible with existing quantum computers, but those are rare enough, and sufficiently limited in capacity that they can only be used in targeted attacks. It becomes a real problem when they get faster, and there are more of them. But yeah, we are really already in a period...
  13. ViewSonic Will Unveil an OLED Gaming Monitor with 520 Hz Refresh Rate at CES 2025, It’s Claimed

I remember Viewsonic being a decent brand back in the 90's. But that was a long time ago now, and I'm not sure the brand is as highly regarded as it once was.
  14. ViewSonic Will Unveil an OLED Gaming Monitor with 520 Hz Refresh Rate at CES 2025, It’s Claimed

Look, if someone wants this, that's cool I guess. Let them waste their money.
  15. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

I guess it has been a while huh. I played it in late 2021. Feels like I just finished it though. I'm not sure I have been away from it long enough to re-play it yet. Heck, I usually never re-play story based games at all. When I know how the story ends, I wind up not caring for it...
  16. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop Are Free to Claim on the Epic Games Store

Lol @ Bus Simulator. I'm picturing a game where you get on a bus, choose a seat, and sit for an hour and a half in the evening rush hour commute. 😅
  17. MAXSUN Could Be Prepping an Alternate Version of Its Intel Arc B580 iCraft 12G Graphics Card Featuring Two M.2 SSD Slots

I find it amusing that Maxsun is making GPU's now. It is a brand name I associate with trivial **** tech like ****ty fans, bad pot based fan controllers, adapters, and stuff like that.
  18. CD PROJEKT RED Surprises Cyberpunk 2077 Players with Update 2.2 Announcement: “The Team Still Has Some Gas in the Tank”

Hmm. I'm almost wishing I started the game later, after Phantom Liberty was released. It's tough to get back into it after the Phantom Liberty DLC released. They should have done a better job of integrating the DLC into the game so it fit with the story even if you finished the game already.
