The PlayStation 5 Pro is currently in development under the codename Project Trinity and has a targeted release date of November 2024, Key to Gaming has reported. According to the website's sources, the new console is designed to deliver improved and consistent FPS at 4K resolution, as well as accelerated ray tracing and a new Performance Mode that will enable games to be played in 8K resolution. Specifications for Project Trinity supposedly include 18 Gbps vs. 14 Gbps memory and 30 workgroup processors, implying an increase of 24 Compute Units versus the existing model.

It’ll be just like 4K is on the pS4 Pro — it will set your TV to 4K mode but not much will actually get rendered in 4K

So coming 4 years after launch, that's about the same amount as time between PS4 launch and PS4 Pro launch.
