Bethesda Game Studios has announced some of the new features that Starfield will be getting as part of a future update. They include official NVIDIA DLSS support for PC, an FOV slider (no more need to create a custom .ini file), 32:9 ultrawide monitor support, and even an eat button for food that allows players to replenish their health without having to first add food items to their inventory, according to a list of "top community-requested features" that the developer shared in a blog post this morning. Bethesda also said that it's working closely with NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel on driver support for new stability and performance improvements, while built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms (akin to Skyrim and Fallout 4) is planned to launch early next year.

Awesome news indeed.

I'm glad they're following up on this. I do enjoy the game and it'll be even better when this is all done. So looking forward to it.

Honestly, the most important update here is the Eat button! And really food should replenish more health over time like it used to in other Bethesda games. Currently it is kind of useless as you need to eat an army's worth to get back a quarter of your health.

Aside from needing certain specific food items for research... they're mostly not worth picking up at all.

Until you get leveled up, get a few gear pieces, and upgrade your ship, you're going to be drowning in loot as is!
