Samsung has announced that the Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC) is now available for pre-order on Samsung.com with a $500 credit ahead of its release on October 2 for $2,499 on Samsung.com and select retailers nationwide. The new display, which is described by Samsung as being the world's first dual UHD gaming monitor, features a 1000R curved Quantum Mini LED panel with 7,680 x 2,160 resolution (equivalent to two 32-inch 4K UHD monitors side by side), 240 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms gray-to-gray response time, and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. This is also one of the first monitors to feature DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, according to Samsung.

For productivity purposes, I could see this thing being really useful. For gaming, they better hope the rumored specs of the 5090 are true because it'll take at least that to play games on it and even then the rumor was 2025 (but I'm beginning to suspect fall 2024).
