The idea of watching SD content on an 8K TV might seem like a disgusting idea to many home theater enthusiasts, but those with a Neo QLED 8K display may want to try it out. That's according to the TV's manufacturer, Samsung, which published a new article today about how its Neo QLED 8K TVs deliver impressive visuals, and in one portion, the company goes so far as to suggest that the sets can display 480p content in "stunning 8K resolution." This appears to be all thanks to the Neural Quantum Processor 8K, an advanced chip from Samsung that offers AI upscaling, auto HDR, and other technologies. Samsung's Neo QLED 8K TVs range from $2,799.99 to $39,999.99.
