Early prices for custom versions of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series are indicating modest to no increases over MSRP. Partner pricing can sometimes have a major sticker shock in comparison to NVIDIA's Founders Editions but this time around there could be models available for all three graphics cards in the RTX 40 SUPER family at MSRP or, at least, somewhat close to. Custom cards for all three GPUs are expected to begin launching this month. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER will be the first of the bunch to arrive this week on January 17. Next will be the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on January 24 and then the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER finishing this series on January 31. Custom models are expected to begin launching the day after Founders Editions and it has been said that there will not be a Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.

That is hopeful news... now lets just hope scalpers credit cards are already maxed and they can't swoop in with bots to buy them up in hopes to flip them for 50% above retail.

Given that the 4080s weren't selling terribly well, Scalping isn't likely to be highly profitable. Can't scalp the TI Super for much premium without getting into 4080 S range, and can't scalp the 4080 S for much without getting into the old 4080 price.

Can only scalp when there is high demand. I don't see that right now since everything is in stock everywhere.

^^^ and like was said, there isn't much room to scalp. Go ahead and jack the price on the 4080S, I'd just grab a regular 4080 or 7900XTX.

Meh?

Per VideoCardz:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB MSRP: $599

  • NVIDIA Founders Edition: $599.99
  • GIGABYTE WindForce OC: $599.99
  • PNY VERTO OC: $599.99
  • ZOTAC Twin Edge: $599.99
  • MSI VENTUS 2X OC: $609.99
  • MSI VENTUS 2X OC WHITE: $619.99
  • MSI VENTUS 3X OC: $629.99
  • MSI Gaming X Slim: $649.99
  • GIGABYTE GAMING OC: $649.99

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB MSRP: $799

  • GIGABYTE Gaming OC: $849.99
  • MSI VENTUS 3X OC: $899.99

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB MSRP: $999

  • NVIDIA Founders Edition: $999.99
  • MSI VENTUS 3X OC: $1099.99

Looks like most of them except for the really fancypants custom editions are pretty close to MSRP.

The interesting part will be how close to MSRP they actually sell for in retail.

I suspect we will see what we do with every launch. A brief rush with elevated pricing and scalping, followed by brief out of stock conditions, and then followed by the parts settling in at around their AIB MSRP's.

I mean, for ****s sake, who in their right mind is going to spend $1099 on a 16GB 4070, Super or not, when that money is getting you within a stones throw of a 4080?

I'd be surprised if anyone would but spending $849 for a 4070 Ti Super, which technically is a 4080, isn't a bad thing if these new 4080 Supers are going for $1000-$1100 or more.
