The game emulator community has suffered a massive hit after Nintendo issued over 8,500 takedown requests to GitHub. This latest move by Nintendo follows its successful lawsuit in March against the creators of the Yuzu emulator which resulted in a settlement.

If only they would channel all this energy into new games. Or, better yet, realize there is a niche here that is longing to be filled (that sounds like a porno pickup line) - if only they could find a way to sell you the same game a seventeenth time...
