9900k and 9700k - somewhat interesting anomaly

Some of you will know I recently traded up my 9700k for a 9900k.

What I have observed is that the 9900k uses exactly the same amount of power, for a given clock speed. It does use a lower voltage, but it must use more current at that voltage.

This doesn’t seem to correlate with any of the reviews I have seen. Anyone else seen this occur?

Not really. Power consumption numbers aren't something I typically looked at. We did at processor reviews, but not motherboard reviews. When we start doing processor reviews, we'll take a look at things like that.
