A New Ghostbusters Game Is In Development, According to Actor Ernie Hudson

The Ghostbusters franchise made its grand return this year in the form of Sony Pictures’ latest installment, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but fans can also expect at least one new video game based on the supernatural comedy property in the months or years ahead.



That’s according to Ernie Hudson, who told YouTube channel Countdown City Geeks in a recent interview that a new Ghostbusters game is in development. Hudson, who plays Winston Zeddemore, noted that scheduling for voice-over work for the title has already begun.









“I just got an email because we’re doing another video game,” Hudson said. “They’re scheduling it now to do the recording and I’m not too sure [who is] going to do it. We'll see how it goes. Game adaptations rarely work out well but I have to say that I loved the last one and in particular how it had most of the original cast from both movies and ended up serving as the third movie turning the story into a trilogy.
 
The Ghostbusters game from several years back was a great game. If the right talent is behind it, I'm convinced it can work. However, if they just base a game off of one of the movies, then that's doomed to fail. All movie adaptations like that do.
