Activision Blizzard Made NVIDIA Remove Its Entire Game Catalog from GeForce NOW

NVIDIA’s cloud-gaming service launched just a week ago, but it’s already encountering significant hiccups. Activision Blizzard, for one, has withdrawn from the GeForce NOW program entirely. That means no Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and other ultra-popular titles.



The news was revealed by an NVIDIA staff member posting on the official GeForce NOW forum. No reason was given as to why Activision Blizzard bailed out, but NVIDIA says it is working with the publisher to “reenable these games and more in the future.”

I'm not surprised. I suspect we will see some other studios want some $$ to license them to use it.

Heck you can't legally run a lan gaming center without a nod from the game companies. You expect to be able to run one that allows remote log in? Nope... you gotta pay those licensing fees.

Not to mention Activision is all about the dolla dolla.
 
Gotta wonder how long until a re-branded Activision/Blizzard battle.net launcher/service reveal pops up in the news . . . .

Granted that they were not the only ones this happened to but considering all the other changes at Blizzard it wouldn't be that big of a surprise.
