Activision Confirms Diablo IV Is Blizzard’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever

Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV is Blizzard's fastest-selling game ever in a new press release regarding its second quarter 2023 financial results. According to a list of highlights, Blizzard segment revenue grew over 160% year-over-year and operating income more than tripled year-over-year thanks in large part to Diablo IV, with the new action RPG having attracted over 10 million players thus far, culminating in a playtime of over 700 million hours since its launch in early June. The news comes shortly after Blizzard released a controversial update for Diablo IV that prompted much of the community to go into meltdown ahead of Season of the Malignant, the changes of which will seemingly be explained in an upcoming campfire chat.

It's being review bombed on Metacritic, which I thought they put in measures to prevent. I guess it's okay to them in this case since Activision Blizzard == big bad company they don't like? It was around a 6 before the new patch dropped.
