Shocking that MGM is worth that much, they were bought and sold so many times in the 80's + 90's and swirling the bankruptcy toilet many times back in the 90's and 2000's.

Whomever convinced Lord Bezos that it was worth 8.5 billion bucks is one hell of a salesperson! I mean, Lucas sold off everything Star Wars to Disney for 4 billion.... you cannot convince me that MGM today is worth more than twice of the entire SW franchise. I know, back catalog, but still.
