AMD has announced its 3rd Gen EPYC processors with 3D V-Cache Technology. Built on the "Zen 3" core architecture, these data center CPUs are notable for featuring 768 MB of L3 cache and what AMD claims is a performance uplift of up to 66 percent versus its older, non-stacked 3rd Gen EPYC processors. The flagship SKU, the 7773X, is a 64-core chip that costs $8,800. They are available beginning today from OEM partners.

Seriously, when the f*ck are Zen 3 Threadrippers coming? And at this point, literally all future AMD CPUs should have the 3D V-cache built in. They should no longer be making CPUs without it. So when Zen 3 Threadripper comes, it better have it. Same for all Zen 4s.
