AMD has confirmed that it is investigating a potential data breach by RansomHouse, a new data cybercrime operation that claims to have extorted 450 GB of data from the company.

Extorted data implies they gained data that AMD gave them in order to keep them quiet about something else. I believe the word you're looking for is STOLE.
