AMD Launches Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series Processors with Zen 4 Cores, RDNA 3 Graphics, and Integrated NPUs for AI Applications

AMD has introduced the Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series, the first AMD embedded devices to combine NPUs based on the AMD XDNA architecture with traditional CPU and GPU elements, coupled with Zen 4 cores for improved performance-per-watt and RDNA 3 graphics for what AMD says is optimized visual processing and multimedia performance.

So this is AMD's version of the Ultra CPU's? with NPU's GPU's and CPU's.

It seems to me that based on the article the NPU isn't a distinct processor but a instruction set on the existing CPU's.
