AMD's Scott Herkelman (Senior VP & GM of Radeon Graphics) told PCWorld last week that only a few Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics cards are afflicted with problematic coolers, but many critics remain unconvinced and say the issue is more serious and widespread than what PR might be letting on. Among those is Igor Wallossek, who got a bad card and shared a new report this week regarding "vapor gate" that claims as many as 11% of AMD's flagship RNDA 3 GPUs are affected. Wallossek also shared a letter from AMD that suggests it can't fulfill all RMAs at this time, despite Herkelman having said that replacements were readily available to ship.

Uh-huh!

"But... but... but... these are 'normal' temps, folks! Just buy up, please (before the REAL truth is revealed)!" 😏

Now, let's watch the AMD's naysayers/apologists find some way to make this AMD inferior (mis)management about NVIDIA. 😂

Hmm, how about... at least they sold out all their cards?

It'll be interesting to see the failure batches they identify. Right now the 11% failure rate is an estimate. Could be more, could be less we simply don't know.

If AMD comes to the front with the lots of cards that should be prone to this problem that might let some people get ahead of the actual failure and get the cards swapped.
