The Radeon RX 8000 Series, a new generation of GPUs based on RDNA 4, AMD's latest graphics architecture, will not feature GDDR7 memory, according to a list of purported specifications that have surfaced online, including those that suggest the new graphics cards will top out with GDDR6 memory rated at 20 Gbps for 640 GB/s of bandwidth.

On some levels (as a 4k gamer) I am more concerned about how much ram as opposed to how fast, though admittedly both are important.

I"m reading that it could be equivalent to 7800xt or 7900GRE but with faster ray tracing (and at the same price). So your 7900 xt and xtx you should still keep.
