I got my hands on a Asus Vivobook S 16 with the HX 370 WITHOUT a dedicated GPU because I wanted to test the 890m. The specs sheet tell a story of an iGPU intentionally limited by memory bandwidth. 118gb/s is what GPUz reports and even though the pixel/s and textures/s are better than bottom end RTX 3050 the ram bandwidth is less than half what that gpu offers. Even with that limitation what this GPU can do with almost no power and in a thin profile is impressive!

I did replace thermal paste on the cpu with thermal grizzle kryosheet and put the laptop on what has to be the most insane laptop cooler I could find. Even though officially the GPU is limited to 54watts TDP you can see in steel nomad light stress test at maximum fan speed(which is how you control power limitations on the vivobook) that we are at 58watts. Sadly the extra wattage slowed it down and going to standard fan mode actually netted better performance at 54watts. If there was more space on this thin+light laptop it would have kept the HX370&890M much cooler resulting in some shocking performance I think.

Discovered the windows 11 driver the laptop came with limited the potential VRAM to 8gb but when I did a fresh windows 10 install I could go all the way up to 24gb vram. I doubt that will help anything given the tiny bandwidth but funny still.
