AMD Refutes Claims That ARM Is More Power-Efficient than x86, and That AI Is Underhyped

Just FUD by AMD, imo

They are comparing peak power usage efficiency

What about idle & standby? Intel Lunar Lake is the one to beat right now on these metrics
 
Also the NPU thing also is another needless distraction

By 2030 all AMD APUs will have RDNA 5 (or 6) iGPUs (with a minimum of 75 TOPs) Hence there will be absolutely no need for a garbage stand alone NPU

You can blame Intel for the NPU BS. They stated including 'NPU's in their CPU's with the core ultra's. And they are trash (I have one). They don't do anything to accelerate anyhting. No copilot running local, no local LLM's nothing. Just pure garbage. The integrated on die GPU does more to accelerate the AI in day to day use than the NPU does. I've watched it do NOTHING while running LLM's and Running Copilot. Want to show some value... show some **** activity.

On another note...how sad is it when who USED to be the leader claims that their CPU's are best when they arn't doing anything. lol. Intel needs to come back in a big way so AMD doesn't loose their edge and become them.

Or so ARM doesn't just buy them. THAT would be interesting in the market and for consumers and Server people as well.
