A new benchmark for AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X has surfaced on PassMark. While the margin for error is high due to the single sample size, the result provides insight on what red team’s lower-ended Zen 3 model might be capable of.



AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X is listed with an average CPU Mark score of 22,824, a single-thread rating of 3,495, and a cross-platform rating of 44,089.



That single-thread rating makes the Ryzen 5 5600X the fastest processor in terms of single-thread performance on PassMark, besting Intel’s Core i9-10900K’s 3,177 score, as well as many of its Zen 2 predecessors. These...

Well, once again, until we have actual real world reviews we really don't know how the new gen will compare to earlier versions and the Intel chips.
