The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D delivers an even more impressive level of performance on average in Ubuntu than Windows 11, according to an extensive set of benchmarks that Phoronix has shared to showcase the differences between the popular Linux distribution and Microsoft's latest operating system. A geometric mean of all test results based on 80 benchmarks would suggest that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D performs 7% better on Ubuntu than Windows 11 Pro on average, with those numbers sitting at 50.62 and 53.98, respectively. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which represents red team's third Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processor with 3D V-Cache technology, is available now for $449.
