AMD is planning to launch its next-generation Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors on October 19, according to rumors that have been shared online. This new series of Zen 4-based workstation CPUs, which is code named "Storm Peak," will reportedly comprise five models, including the Ryzen Threadripper 7995WX, a new flagship processor that features 96 cores, 192 threads, 384 MB of L3 cache, and support for up to 128 PCIe Gen 5 lanes. All of these chips are said to feature a TDP of 350 watts—a 70-watt increase over the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series.
