Installed new driver then Horizon Forbidden west was taking forever to load so much so that I killed it and rebooted. Only to just be patient it took a few minutes to show me it was redoing the shadow mapping or whatever you want to call it. Because of the driver update.

A bit more information would have been nice. Figure I'd post here in case anyone else ran into the same hiccup.

Anytime a D3D12 or Vulkan game gets patched, or a new GPU driver is installed, the game needs to re-compile shaders. Well, at least the smart games do, the ones that don't suffer from shader compilation stutter during actual gameplay.
