Custom models of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, one of the first graphics cards to leverage AMD's all-new RDNA 4 architecture, may not feature 12VHPWR, the 16-pin power connector that some NVIDIA users had claimed led to their GPUs melting down, according to several reports that claim red team isn't mandating 12V-2x6 for its partners and is, instead, allowing them to stick with traditional 8-pin power connectors.

The other side of this is that some partners may choose to use it because there was at least one board partner that did with their 7900XT and 7900XTX custom models.
