After nearly four years, Apple has released a new version of the iPod Touch. The 2019 version comes with an A10 Fusion chip, the same SoC that powers the iPhone 7/Plus and 2018 iPad. It’s also the first iPod Touch to support AR (augmented reality) experiences and GroupFaceTime.

The 32 GB base model starts at $199, while the 128 GB version costs $299. A new 256 GB option is also available for $399.

“We’re making the most affordable iOS device even better with performance that is twice as fast as before, Group FaceTime and augmented reality starting at just $199,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Product Marketing. “The ultra-thin and lightweight design of iPod touch has always made it ideal for enjoying games, music and so much more wherever you go.”
