Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 Gets Reviewed

The Arctic Liquid Freezer AIO series has enjoyed praise from a number of sites. The 280 may appeal to minimalists as it does not feature any RGB of any kind. Another interesting design difference is a 40 mm VRM fan to assist in cooling the CPU VRM.

The cooler’s tubes are sleeved to assist in providing cable management and a clean look. It comes filled with coolant from the factory so even those with the most basic skills needn’t fuss with initial setup. Essentially all one needs to do to install is mount the radiator and cooler and plug in.

Guru3D has just published a review on the Liquid Freezer II 280. They mention another nice detail is that the radiator is 38 mm thick. This additional thickness does improve the cooling potential of the AIO. Having tested with a i9 9900K @ 5 GHz / 1.35 V it performed favorably. Holding at 79c under full load it was able to be close to the top of their review list. At 1.45 V it did climb to 87c which is a little on the hot side of things. The 280 has an MSRP of $89.99 USD.
