Introduction Today we have another B650 motherboard for review, the ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi socket AM5 motherboard. This is a new, budget-conscious, DDR5 motherboard from ASRock based on AMD’s B650E chipset. Currently, you can find this motherboard for $215 on Amazon. The ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi is based on AMD’s new B650E chipset, the middle-of-the-pack chipset offering from AMD. Great rundown, but my only quibble would be the M.2 testing section. The results you saw for M2_2 are exactly in line with the slot's specs (Gen3x2), and contrary to what was written, ASRock does not refer to that particular slot as a "Hyper" M.2 slot from what I can see on the product page (or specifications tab).

CPU:
- 1 x Blazing M.2 Socket (M2_1, Key M), supports type 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 (128 Gb/s) mode*
Chipset:
- 1 x M.2 Socket (M2_2, Key M), supports type 2242/2260/2280 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s & PCIe Gen3x2 (16 Gb/s) modes*
- 1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_3, Key M), supports type 2260/2280 PCIe Gen4x4 (64 Gb/s) mode*

I also want to thank you for mentioning the issue with the PCI Express x16 slot's release latch due to the M2_1 slot being positioned tightly above it. It's little usability problems like this that can turn a five second task into a five minute bit of precision surgery, involving a flashlight, wooden ruler and awkward contortions.

thread necro .. but my daughter runs this motherboard with a 7600 w/Deepcool AK620, 2x16GB GSkill Ripjaws S5 XMP 6000 CAS30, Gigabyte RX6800 Gaming OC, 3xM.2 NVMe SSD's, 1x 1TB SATA SSD, Corsair RM850x, Win11 .. it's been a great gaming and everything else setup for her
